What’s the difference between Summer Waves Quick Set and Elite Frame pools?
Quick Set pools use an inflatable top ring that rises as the pool fills — no frame, no tools, ready in about ten minutes. Elite Frame pools use a rigid steel-tube frame with a reinforced liner and typically sit deeper (up to 48 inches). Quick Set is fastest to set up; Elite Frame is built for longer seasonal use and larger footprints.
Which filter cartridge fits my Summer Waves pool pump?
Most Summer Waves SkimmerPlus and standard filter pumps use a Type D cartridge, while smaller Quick Set pumps use Type A or Type IV. How many gallons does a Summer Waves 14ft or 16×48 pool hold?
A 14ft x 36in Summer Waves pool holds roughly 3,500 gallons, a 14ft x 42in holds around 3,900 gallons, and the 16×48 Elite holds about 5,200 gallons. Larger sizes like the 18×48 and 20×48 hold 6,400+ gallons. Always fill to the marked line on the liner, not to the top.
Can I replace just the liner on my Summer Waves pool?
Yes — Summer Waves replacement liners are sold separately for our most popular sizes (10ft, 14ft, 14×42, 16×48, and more). If the frame and pump on your Polygroup Summer Waves pool are still in good shape, swapping just the liner is the most cost-effective way to get another season out of your setup.
Do Summer Waves pools come with a filter pump included?
Every Summer Waves Quick Set, Active Frame, and Elite Frame pool ships as a complete kit with a matched filter pump, hoses, and one filter cartridge. Some larger Elite Frame kits also include a ground cloth, cover, and ladder. Individual pumps and cartridges are also available separately as replacements.
How long does a Summer Waves above-ground pool last?
With proper care — a good cover in the off-season, weekly water balancing, and clean filter cartridges — most Summer Waves pools give you three to five seasons of solid use. Elite Frame models tend to last longest thanks to the rust-resistant steel frame and heavier three-ply liner.
